Double Standards

There have been many times where women have been harshly judged because of what they wear. Often times we are judged and stared at in school, at work, at a party, or just out in public. I personally have a passion for fashion and makeup. I think it's very unfair that women lose respect just because of our choices of style.

The way you dress represents your individuality. It's a fun way to express yourself without saying anything. Makeup and clothing is completely your choice, don't let anyone else control what you do.

On a more serious note, dressing a certain way may cause attention. It's not our fault whether we may draw positive or negative attention. I mean think about it, we dress the way we do to draw certain attention. We want to stand out. We want to feel confident and satisfied with the way we look. Wearing tight skirts or short shorts doesn't give anyone the right to judge or take advantage of you.

The following link is an article about a young woman being put down for the way she dressed, take a look! This sadly happens everyday,
